It takes a lot to become a style icon or any icon for that matter.  How does that even happen? The envelopes pushed, the originality and imagery need to speak to the masses.

 Today, we have a little treat. Get ready for visual amazement. 

We celebrate an incredible career of the legendary Grace Jones. Her career stretches over five decades, of fantastic music, movies, fashion style and untraditional symbolic imagery. 

Grace Jones has inspired numerous of music artist, photographers, designers, models, and everyday people with her unique style that had its genre. She’s inspired things today we see all over magazines. The energy of the vision was magical. You can just feel the passion in the images.

With the help of her former lover and friend Jean-Paul Goude, Artist Andy Warhol, and Keith Haring they ended up creating Grace’s iconic photos, music videos, and images.

From her disco years to the present Grace has been ahead of the pack with her music, and style. She walked the runways for top designers. Inspired tons of photo shoots by her iconic images from the past.

We are excited to have her as our beautiful Friday style Muse. 

Women and men grow up with both sexes. Our mothers and fathers mean a lot to us, so it’s just a question of finding a balance between their influences. I’ve found mine. And it tends to be more  on the male side. I mean male side the way we understand it in the West. -Grace Jones
