Hello Kitty Convention 2014 Los Angeles
Hello Kitty embodies everything in world that is adorable. So imagine, just for a minute, the most die-hard fans of the world surround you. Well, that is exactly where we found ourselves at The Geffen Contemporary at MOCA (Museum of Contemporary Art) in Downtown LA’s Little Tokyo .

Sanrio extended an exclusive behind the scenes look at one of the happiest places on earth Hello Kitty con, for the 40th anniversary of the iconic Sanrio character Hello Kitty. The festivities kicked off for us Wednesday night for press preview. It was nice to experience all the activations before the masses of anime strutted about on Thursday.
Senior VP of Sanrio Ken Yamamoto mentioned to us, 25,000 tickets sold for the entire weekend and the public started lining up at 3 am to get in the venue for HKcon day one.

In traditional Sanrio fashion, they had everything from Hello Kitty food trucks, shopping, Target partnered game zone, art school area, beauty (by Sephora), and official HK tattoo parlor where you could get a free real tattoo if you got your name on the list earlier enough. Katy Perry even popped in for a new one.

The best way to experience the weekend was to really get in Hello Kitty Vans shoe’s.

We had the best time could not ask for a more amazing event. Thanks Sanrio and Happy Birthday Hello Kitty!
